New Roadster Owner - Bay Area

Post by KPO »

Hi All. My name is Keith and I recently bought a '67 Roadster that was restored/modified by Harlan a while back. I spoke with him last night and he mentioned your forum. Great guy.
This is my first Datsun and it is awesome. Looking forward to learning and contributing where I can.

Thanks everyone.
I'm a contractor and I bought a condemned shop building a few years ago that came with 20 broken down cars. One of them was a '68 1600 Roadster in rough condition. I thought about restoring it but a friend talked me out of it, loaded it on a trailer, sold it and sent me the money. I had a lot ahead of me with the building restoration. Another friend had this '67, that is in great condition, and recently he said he wanted to sell it. I never would have made the 68 anywhere near this nice so in the end, this was the best path for me.
This car has an SR20DE and 5 speed done by Kevin's Roadster Designs along with an RX7 rear end and brakes, 300zx front brakes, digital gauges, new suspension, and new interior. It rides great and has plenty of power. I've always had trucks so it is definitely fun to drive around.

Hi Everyone. I posted back in 2024 looking for a fuel tank for a custom 280Z. Well that led one thing to another and now I have a 69 2000. Purchased from a fellow member Barney Murphy. Looking forward to learning more. Have had 3 of these intersecting with my life through the years. likely I will be asking questions about the suspension. Hops like a bunny on rough roads. Looking for ways to settle this down. Take care.
