I am working on a 68 1600. The turn signals are not working at all. The hazard only works on the passenger side. There are other little wiring issues as well. But those are my main concern.
I did get a different, used of course, hazard switch and replaced the flashers.
I am pretty new to these cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Patrick

Re: Turn signals not working
If you haven’t already, go to the tech section on 311s.org & download & print the wiring diagram for your car.
Try cycling the hazzard switch a few dozen times to see if that helps. The turn signal circuits go through that switch. Once you get the hazards to work, then it is time to go on to the turn signals.
Try shorting across the 2 leads on the flasher, the turn signals should come on steady if the flasher is defective. If they don’t, I’d suspect either the turn signal switch or loose wires.
Peace, Pat

Re: Turn signals not working
You can also check the nine pin connection coming from the steering wheel. These can get brittle and fail.

Re: Turn signals not working
Also check the multi-pin plug at the hazard switch, behind the radio. I had some corrosion there. Cleaned the terminals with some contact cleaner and that fixed mine.
