1966 Floor Console Reassembly

Might someone here be able to point me towards reassembly instructions for a 1966 floor console? I have 2 recovered consoles that are completely disassembled. I especially need help with placement of the lid spring. Even a few pictures would be appreciated. TIA

Pat, nice photo. My console has been disassembled for MANY years so I could use some help as well. I marked up your photo, does the that horseshoe section of the Spring bump up against the back wall of the console box so that the spring loads up when dropping the lid?

Sorry to take so long to get back, I was away from the car.

Yes, that part presses against the back wall & is always under tension. If there is other information you need, please let me know. I'll be here for the next week, then a week out of pocket.
