Wow, that was great. I've often said (yesterday in fact!) that were all part of a family, and that's exactly what this felt like. Great to see Mike! Obviously I've read many posts but never had an image let alone seen some interaction with other Datsun folks... very nice to put a face and personality to the name!
I've been enjoying the Hagerty channel a lot but had not caught this one, so thanks for posting!

We definitely need to get Tom on the forum now that he's a roadster owner!

Re: Great Video from Hagerty
That was a fun adventure. So much interesting history tied to this car and it is great for it to be in the hands of someone who will preserve the car and race it again on the same tracks it raced on in period. I really enjoy it when I have people come up to me at the races and tell me how they saw my car race in the 60s or actually raced against it. That's really what it's all about.

Very well done, might be the best ever for a roadster. Need to shoot a Mike U. racing episode next, very cool. Thanks for posting.

Mike, I wish you lived in WA State... just the kinda guy I'd like to hang out with! Was really fun "meeting" you via the video. Thanks for flying the Datsun flag for us!

Re: Great Video from Hagerty
What a great video about a great story. The cars, the people, the history. It's just excellence. And Mike has been an unfathomably helpful resource in my roadster journey. I'm really happy to see this episode. I'm hopeful that there's some follow up in the future. The people and the cars deserve it. Really special stuff. What great day for the community. Cheers!

That is a cool video. Mike has been a member of the forum for a long time. I went ahead and added her (Tom's) car to the registry,

My apologies if this has been included with the video link, but my thoughtful neighbor next door just sent it to me:

Re: Great Video from Hagerty
Jon, thanks for posting... I enjoyed the read as much as the video, and there were many great pics to see and more! All of us add to the life of these cars as we share what our own adventures have been and continue to be. I'm in Maui right now caring for my spry 92 year old dad and my sister's Frisbee loving dog, and started a conversation with a guy and his wife of 50 years yesterday, sharing our love of cars and reminiscing. He became tearful recalling his big block Chevelle and loved the pics of the Datsun ("Never knew Datsun made something like that!"). I'm looking forward to returning home to start the driving season in the PNW, and making more Roadster memories with my co-pilot wife.
Sunny side up all, enjoy the ride!
