Re: New seats for the 67
There’s a set of roadster seats online right now that should be correct but I’m hesitant.
The Procar also had a tall seat pad that made getting under a stock steering wheel tight and at a towering 5’7”, my head was at least level with the top of the windshield.
As ADR said, I’d need to bolt them right to the floor and that would only work for me.

Yeah, the current rails are weird. I had another post trying to identify them and they are definitely not Datsun. In the image, the red circles are the bolt mounts and you can see there are no others. The only thing that looks like a possible hold point is the tab in the blue square. However, that just moves around and I’m not sure it ever did anything useful.
I’ll see if I can have some tabs welded to these rails in the back to allow for better mounting. I’ll try soaking/cleaning them to see if I can get them unfrozen too.
The blue box is on the part of the rail that's attached to the seat and moves....you need to turn the rail over to see the other two bolt holes. They need to be on the part of the rail that the other bolts are on. if you dont see any holes, you take the rail apart and drill or weld bolts near the end of those rails.

Re: New seats for the 67
Thanks
At this point I think I am going to pull the trigger on some actual roadster seats/rails if they’re still available. I have enough oddities with this car (check my other posts) and would like to limit my deviation from the norm.

Re: New seats for the 67
Looks like Sports Imports has some '68-70 that I can use without the headrest. I'd really love some actual '66-67 seats since they sit a little below the body line but they seem pretty hard to find. Someone on eBay had some but pulled the listing to try and get more $$$ out of them and they have yet to be re-listed.

Re: New seats for the 67
So I got some seats today and I’m thinking they might be actual Datsun seats. Can anyone confirm? There is an inspection tag on the bottom of both in Japanese so I’m hopeful. They’ve seen better days but if they’re real I’ll get them recovered in fall.

Re: New seats for the 67
They do look like Datsun seats/rails. I just got one for my 1968, not the low windshield 67. But looks real similar

I’ll post A pic of the inspection sticker without the google translate on it too.

Re: New seats for the 67
Here’s the original version of the inspection sticker.
Is there any part of the seats I can take a picture of to confirm if they’re an original or not?

Re: New seats for the 67
I pulled off one of the crap covers they had hot glue gunned on and this is what’s underneath. Looked pretty Datsun to me. I love the grommets on the lower backside. Still hoping someone can confirm for sure these are Datsun. Both have a bolt for one of the hinges which I’m sure is not correct but I can probably live with that.

Re: New seats for the 67
Yes!!! So happy to have found these. Thanks to Ray on the NWDE email list for the hookup.
Working with a shop to get them recovered in fall. Probably gonna need a nice pillow to sit on diving this summer though hahah.
