Stray wires
I have some stray wires on the passenger side of the engine bay of my 67.5 1600. The car runs and everything and I can’t seem to locate these on any wiring diagram at all. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Stray wires
Possibly your ballast resister that rectangular porcelain block that usually resides near the coil?

Re: Stray wires
The ballast resistor is already wired and working. But that small black wire with no connector does branch off of one of the wires from the resistor and I have no idea what it is on the wiring diagram.

Re: Stray wires
Is it black with no white stripe? The tubing would indicate that it is the wire that should come from the coil to the distributor. Looks like yet another sins of previous owners case.
The blue wire on the coil is going to the distributor? Not supposed to be like that.

Re: Stray wires
This is how it should be.
Black/white stripe from firewall to ballast resistor.
Short black/white stripe from ballast resistor to coil.
Black wire from coil to distributor. Sleeved wire goes to distributor.
