I'll grant my knowledge of carbs is weak, but trust I've spent the time trying to adjust this one (with help from a fairly knowledgeable friend). I have figured out all the linkages and various adjustment screws. It needs a rebuild. I'm just going to buy a known-good rebuild.Gregs672000 wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2024 1:36 pm Carbs... talk to our member Keith, I hear he's great. The new balancer should work great. Look closely at the linkage and be sure to understand what does what. You should be able to adjust the carbs individually with their own screw, be able to link them together with the balancing screw, and set idle with a common screw as I recall (?), but it's been many years since I was stock. You should be able to turn the idle down to 900rpm or so even if the shafts are worn... that will effect air/fuel ratio... something might be sticking or hanging up or?

Love the license plate! Reminds me of my dad who used to love to tell that old joke.

Yum.
But the sisters are now tucked away while I focus on other things including my 911 that I've been neglecting.

Bonus, I'm now a grandfather!

Peggy lives.
I'm about to start diving in to make her roadworthy so pulled her out of her storage space. She ran long enough to get here. Then died.
