The online manual only shows one part number for the bracket. The 1968 Japanese manual in the tech wiki lists both brackets. But it has the following note. I have not found that to be the case thus far.

New part is compatible with old part, but old one isn’t.

One might slip right on with a little silicone sealant or maybe one can be “softened up” with a heat gun and snugged on. I would also probably put a dab of silicone sealant inside after drilling a hole and slipping the wires through.

Yeah, if a little loose just put on a thin layer of black RTV around the mating surface but let it totally dry before putting the boot on.

Just say no to driving in the rain... Since I bought the aftermarket AND it never goes out in the rain I don't have to worry about it. Doesn't look stock upon closer inspection anyway so maybe I'll find a boot that fits later.

The $55 ones from AirCooled do have the boot. I don’t have a set of originals but they look awfully close and a brand new pair for $55 ya can’t go wrong. Prob no driving in the rain here either. 😄

I didn't find them on the AirCooled site. Looked under electrical and then searched for reverse.

Thanks. No matter what I put in including the part number from ebay they don't show up on the aircooled site. Must not sell them anymore.

Ebay is aircoolin and located in Kent, WA. It says they are rebuilding their web site and only sell on ebay

Aircooled is in Utah and says they are offline.

There is also ssaircooled.com which also looks to have the same reverse lights.
