Re: Matt's KA24DE Swap
Basically inventory and put it back together, look over everything. There was a decent amount of things missing that I took the liberty of finding what fits. It’s no true restoration. Build the exhaust, made a new alternator bracket, wiring, oil pan gasket, brake master cylinder, finish up gas tank. Other odds and ends for trim, wheels, interior. This is the short list that I can remember off the top of my head.
Oo also get a new exhaust manifold (header) Double u joint the steering column to fit it.
Also had to modify the gas tank straps.

Re: Matt's KA24DE Swap
Thanks!
Now just going to list things as I did it on the cheap or couldn’t find a replacement.
I wasn’t going to pay 200+ for back up lights. The ones I had were missing pieces. For alternative back up lights I used https://www.ebay.com/itm/294231438609?m ... media=COPY
They look good for the price and I used the original brackets
For the hood latch which was missing. I bought and modified this latch. https://www.ebay.com/itm/373594542665?m ... media=COPY I only used the portion with the spring plunger. The latch is mirrored and does not work.

Re: Matt's KA24DE Swap
Anyone have a picture of those backup lights next to the original. They do look great. Thanks Matt for the tip.

I have a set that is taken apart from a parts box i bought from someone. Are you looking for like the body or the lense or overall?

I was just looking for a comparison side by side picture of these EBay lights against OE. Thanks, JimLoy wrote: Fri Dec 22, 2023 10:54 pm I have a set that is taken apart from a parts box i bought from someone. Are you looking for like the body or the lense or overall?

No modification (drilling etc) to the bracket? Thanks, Jim

Re: Matt's KA24DE Swap
Yes just the bracket. Everything else was the light itself from eBay. I’ll get a picture and upload it shortly.

Re: Matt's KA24DE Swap
So I had to use a couple washers as the hole in the bracket was too big for the nut on the light bought from eBay. The original brackets I had were two long ones.
