175/70/14 Tires on OEM 4" Wheels (1967)

Post by DAC21 »

So I know this isn't a recommended size for an early 1967 4" OEM Wheel, but some on this site have successfully ran them in the past. Speedo would be off about 2.5 MPH at 65, so I'm cool with that. I like the Remington whitewall available in this size and there is a mini sale of sorts from Priority tire. I can get them for $85 delivered ea. They have a list of 3rd party installers to handle that including American / Discount tire. (So Cal)

Question, will American / Discount tire decline to install them siting safety concerns?

Thanks

Buy the tires.
I doubt Discount would refuse to mount them, but call ahead to confirm.
If Discount won't mount them, find another shop.
