OK cool. The PO was a nice guy, came by one day and I went to his house once where he allowed me to drive his turbo Corvair. I kinda wondered if he would be able to get to it given all his other interests and projects. These are great cars to learn on and should not be a significant challenge technically, especially with the wealth of knowledge here.
Rear brakes are not easy to convert to disc, nor is it really necessary, but it can/has been done with (200sx I think?). I have an RX7 LSD and axle set up, and they come with discs (one of those would be worth sourcing IF you can find one. Must be narrowed, I had mine made). Regarding what I said about the electrical (my main weakness) that main power wire goes directly to the amp gauge and a ground there or other issues can result in a fire (ask me how I know... on the freeway) so check this stuff carefully. Since finances are not an issue and you want it to handle, I can't recommend the Bilstein shocks (Jim Tyler, JT68) more strongly... game changers IMHO and I've tried them all. We have several GREAT vendors listed... all are quality folks with excellent products and we are all very fortunate to have them.
As said, there is a huge wealth of information here, so as you're doing things it never hurts to ask questions... even after 36 years of ownership I learn new stuff all the time from postings here... how to trouble shoot something, how to remove something, how to clean something, etc. There's even some who are planning the electrification of the Roadster as we speak and will want to share information and insights with you.

An electric vintage car is a personal choice of course, but have you considered a SR20DET conversion. They can reliably produce up to 700 horsepower, suicidal if you ask me at that HP but range is good, keep your foot out of it and probably over 30 mpg , looks super cool under the hood and no need to wait for a recharge. Probably a lot let expensive too too. Just think it would be a far better conversion than having a car that makes no noise and every 7 years or so will need a whole new set of batteries. Just something that you might want to consider. And if emissions is a concern for you, then you can put a cat converter on it.

There is a 240sx rear disc kit also available. The performance upgrade is likely not needed on the rear, but if you are doing the 300zx fronts, now you can bring the entire braking system into a parts-available status, which is positive (in addition to the improved aesthetic appeal of the rear discs).
