Thanks for the info. Now I’m thinking of trying to switch to different carbs, like dual Mikuni HSR42 or even fabricating an intake to mount a single carb, so I can create some space. Then I could just throw in a dual- plunger master and not have the interference issue. If the fluid reservoir is too tall, I could 3D print some lower ones.
