I would like to find out if anyone here has an original ball and the diameter of it. I have just acquired one and one of the other locals has one and they are different sizes. He thinks maybe his is not original to the roadster. Plain ball, no pattern.

my original 67 measures at 1 5/8" (41.25mm)
