High Windshields.

Post by mraitch »

I think I got the last "complete" one from JRD

Got me thinking

If we could demonstrate a market, then perhaps we could persuade/hurry along a manufacturer to make some more.

PM me if interested with phone number and email.

Hopefully you have known me long enough to trust that that info will NEVER be communicated to any outside agency.

Not trying to put an end to this conversation as I would be in for at least one and have a local mate who might also be in for one.

But, after reaching out to JRD last month, this is the reply I received:

"Tim, because of the 25% import duty there is no set date as to when we will place the order again. The min. quantity is 60 pcs if we have to re-tool, but the re-tool process has time frame issue as well, it is taking more than 2 years before we get them back."

So, again, I am in for at least one and would add that I would prefer no green tint.

Thanks for that information.

So, perhaps we can find the 'source'

Still think it worthwhile to test the waters.

So we have 3 so far

Best, Pete

Hi Pete,
I'd be interested in their product depending on price.

Any familiarity/review dealing with Sanders Reproduction Glass in Vancouver, WA? They are the last ones who were able to send me a quote for a 69 2000. But I haven't followed up with ordering from them.

I just had a green tint put in my 68. You can't tell there is any tint. The price was right. Pat

Agreed. I installed a low windshield with green tint. I wanted clear but there was a mixup on order. Installed, it only looks a tiny bit darker than the side windows if you’re looking for it… removed from the car it looked green in advance and had me a bit worried.

Pat and DP - did you get your low windshields from JRD or Sanders? I need one for my low windshield car.

Thanks!
