Re: Nissan Engine Museum
So that's what happened to my rebuild... I wonder if they'll let me come pick it up? "Of course it's mine... Hey, is that your phone ringing in the back room? Better go answer it... I'll be right here..." Zoink!

I'd love to! If you're buying, I'm flying. LOL!! That location makes it even more curious that they chose an SU engine rather than a solex engine.Florida Roadster wrote: Wed Mar 08, 2023 10:47 amDr. Google says it is here......https://www.nissan-global.com/JP/PLANT/YOKOHAMA/

Re: Nissan Engine Museum
Not only interesting about SU’s, it’s also a smog engine. Look at the fan, smog engines have it because of the 0 degrees at idle distributor.

Re: Nissan Engine Museum
Might also be the iconic 5-speed (for its time), looks to be the only motor with gearbox. Unfortunately, Greg, they called me and said my re-build was on display till I could pick it up.

Re: Nissan Engine Museum
I went to this museum about 10 years ago - its pretty neat. Lots of engine history crammed into a historical factory. Unfortunately the picture I took is of basically the same angle, but I did take one of the plaque too. I live a couple hours away from it now, I'll have to go back to see if its changed!

Re: Nissan Engine Museum
Interesting that the U20 looks like it's been used (Greg). The other engines look new/unused. Nissan must have had a hard time sourcing a new one. Greg, how much are you getting on the lease of it to Nissan?

Re: Nissan Engine Museum
Well see, that's the issue... they haven't paid me. And I've lost the paperwork... but I KNOW it's mine, I can just feel it... "Honest officer, look, it fits my car... he said I could take it... Hey, don't I hear a phone ringing in your patrol car...?" Zoink!jrusso07 wrote: Thu Mar 09, 2023 10:38 am Interesting that the U20 also looks like it's been used (Greg). BTW, the "Zoink" sound you're hearing is the trans-dimensional worm hole shifting device one of my recently evaluated clients created. It looks like a bent spoon with a battery taped to it, but he said it worked...
