Thinking about getting the Big Brake Package from Silvermine Motors for my '69 Roadster, but these require a 16-inch wheel. Anyone seen or can recommend a 16-inch wheel and tire combo? Thanks.

Re: Big Brakes Need Big Wheels
For my ‘69 with 280ZX 6.5â€x14†rims, the biggest tires I can fit under the rear fenders are 195/60R-14s. With that stock fender restriction, if you are planning to run 16â€s, I think your going to be limited to 195/45-R16s. You might be able to get 205/45R-16s to fit, but they are a bit wider and might rub on cornering - There isn’t a lot of free room there. All this depends on the width and offset of whatever 16†rims you decide on of course. Finding 16†rims in a 4x114.3†with CB 73.1mm might be a bit interesting though.
Maybe someone here who has run 16â€s can provide some better insight into the combos available

Re: Big Brakes Need Big Wheels
Our big brake kits require a 15" wheel, and fit most common roadster wheels.

As for 16" tires, we typically run a 205/45/16, though my personal car has a 225/40/16 tire (with a shortened RX-7 rear axle)

Re: Big Brakes Need Big Wheels
I want to upgrade my 64 roadster with the big brake kit. However, being that the 64 are drum brakes, will the big brake kit work? Can I use the drum rotor hub?
If the set up works, I am guessing that the 15” rims will work just fine as well.
Finally, if this works, I would like the swap out my springs like I did with my 1970 and give it a little lowered front end. Will the clearance work with the 64? Again, I am guessing it should work. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks,
Ed
