Really Cool. I looked up the Rochester, NY Datsun dealers and recall both businesses from my youthful days...Pacesetter and Hart Taylor Datsun. I bought parts for my 72 240Z from Pacesetter.

From 67 or later it looks like from the models
Some of the MO. ones were mostly just a decent / mid sized used car lot.
Like Michael's in KC. in 1962 if you bought 2 cars and a truck and $100 parts and you were a Datsun dealership ....I think they weeded some out that didn't sell much
There was a Mitsubishi dealer in St.Joe from 1971 , they sold a heap of the mini PUs to farmers but no cars in 07 they were still going but it was a 2 Bay shop just tune ups & LOFs etc ....people can look online to see the cust complaints against a dealer , ours in Overland Park ks , had a lot of negative complaints mostly was it fixed right the 1st time , and this St.Joe dealer had no complaints so one customer call us up and said you guys are terrible at fixing cars Im taking all my business
To St. Joe. He drove there , finding it was a hole in the wall place had one kid as a mech .
Then drove into ours to get it done , we had to order the parts after researching the problem and that meant they'd have to return so the KS ELITE complained

Siggi Grimm Motors, Tulsa Ok.

When my family moved to Tulsa in 1960 we lived next door to Siggi Grimm who at the time was a German immigrant auto mechanic. My parents remained close friends with Siggi and Ingrid for many years. I remember when I was 10 or so years old and visiting their house seeing this really cool looking grey car with funny doors that opened in a strange way! Eventually he acquired a Datsun dealership along with Tulsa’s only Mercedes Benz dealership. Wonder whatever became of the 300SL!

Awwww... Brings back the memories! I started working at Bob Tedd Datsun in Fairfax,Va in 1973 after high school then moved on to Capitol Datsun in D.C. in '75 before moving on to Stohlman Datsun in Alexandria, Va in 1977 until about 1981. In all those years I owned at least 3 or 4 Roadsters but never worked on a Roadster at a dealership!

Memories for sure. Dealerships must have been a little more fluid back then.
I worked at East Coast Datsun in Mamaroneck NY in 1975/76, same location as Post Auto Sales. I also worked at Pray Datsun in Greenwich CT and was shop foreman at Stearns Datsun in White Plains NY in 1977. Never worked on or owned any Roadsters at the time as I had lots of 510's (total owned by me or my girlfriend/now wife was around 9 including a Pro-Rally one). Bought my roadster in 1980 and lots of parts were purchased at Yonkers Datsun as my shop was in Yonkers at the time.

I just visited one of the first Datsun dealers here in Alberta who is sadly closing the shop and was selling a bunch of service manuals and some odd bits. Found them in the directory:
