Question on running LED dash lights

Post by andyb »

If I'm only replacing the dash illumination bulbs with LED bulbs, I know I lose the dimmer (unless I put in the LED compatible solution, which for now I'm not).

Question is whether to bypass the dimmer altogether as pictured or should I wire in the dimmer? Seems to work either way.

Well, wired in, the dimmer works as an on/off switch. It just doesn't fade the brightness (which I understand why)
