Is private messaging down?

I received a couple messages lately that I have tried to respond to but one of my outgoing messages is sitting in my outbox for over 24 hours & another one since earlier today. Am I doing something wrong?

I Believe, until your message is opened/read by the person you sent it to, it stays in your outbox. FWIW Pat
