I bent my left axle by sliding into a wall. I'm thinking I just need to replace that side but I wanted to find out what years are compatible? I searched around and couldn't find anything addressing this. I checked parts sites and they all have the same bearings for all years so I'm thinking an axle off any year 1600/2000 should be good?
1970 1600 is what I have. Thanks
Are all year axles compatible?

Re: Are all year axles compatible?
The parts manual shows 2 part numbers but also shows that they both are for all years, so I believe they are all compatible. The only difference I can recall is that the earliest ones used screw on retainers to hold the bearings on. Never actually seen one but “they†say they existed.
