Pete,

Fixed the broken vendor links as of today. Created an Archive Space for defunct or no longer supported websites. Rallye is at the top including a link with a disclaimer not to try buying anything.

Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend folks.

I agree, its the law of comerce... which Rallye did a very admirable job of doing for years given the lack of just about anyone else doing so. And then life marched on, and age/illness/unexpected tragedy/accidents/moves/set backs/decisions etc etc come along and your dreams and empires fall away despite your best intentions. It's true, without taking care of your customers you will fail... I'm not arguing the fact. But it also doesn't erase what has been accomplished and contributed before, or tarnish what once was but, for whatever reasons, is no longer.

Ya gotta understand... in my line of work I hear many many stories of triumph and tragedy, highs and lows, and ever constant change. It creates a real understanding and compassion that life happens to all of us, but its experience is also completely unique to you and nobody knows what paths you walk. Ultimately I'd rather be remembered for my accomplishments than my failures, as after all I'll have both!

Again, thanks Dann and family for all your contributions. You were the first person to tell me I had stumbled upon a "rare" car when I wrote to you over 36 years ago and I asked why my title said '67 when I thought the 2000 started in '69. THAT was cool day.

This can be applied to a number of the vendors. I've seen comments from a few like this over the years. If you have a beef with a vendor, take it up with them, don't air it out here in a veiled snark.

You ASSUME Rallye is interested in selling, and you ASSUME no offers have been made if they are interested. You know what happens when you ASSUME right?
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......
