66 floor pics

Post by johnscf »

I have a 66 that has had the floor pan replaced and I’m trying to figure out if the pans that were welded in are similar to the original design. There are 2 metal strips that run across from the transmission tunnel to the door. Does anyone have pictures of the floors of a 66?

My 66 floors came with only 1 strip down the center which I believe was factory. I added 2 more strips on each side where the seats bolt in for extra strength, which is what factory did on my 69. Hope this helps!

Nice - Even with the three support strips I can still flex the floor boards with my hand. Can’t imagine how soft it would be with just one support under there.

thanks The ones I’m seeing clearly not meant to try to duplicate original but very solid and whoever put them in did a nice job welding in place.
