HOEPFULLY, You can match the WIX part number up locally. Otherwise E-bay or the vendor will have it, it'll just take longer to get.

it says it's not for a 1966. I'm starting to wonder if my car is a 66 or if I have a 65 engine in it

Engines up to R02311 used the cannister and cartridge like you have. Later engines used a spin-on filter. You can switch to a spin-on if you like by changing the oil filter mounting bracket. Heck, I may have several. Could send you one.

The part number for the cannister element should be the same for the 65 and early 66, so this one should work fine. Since they changed styles in '66 that is why the parts stores, who only look at what the computer says, won't list it for the '66. It's too much data for them to comprehend!
