I think it's only the rear black plastic that's broke. or is it all one piece? I'll gladly take any parts that can help. Message me I'll pay any shipping

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
So I jumped the contacts at the brake switch and the brake lights came on. I'm 99.99% sure the brake switch is bad.
I'm assuming to replace the brake switch in my 66 I will need to bleed the brakes correct? How difficult is it to convert to an electric switch on the petal? I need to most probably replace some rubber brake lines so not a huge deal I guess.
I found this on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/325090422455?m ... media=COPY

That's a good price. They rarely go bad. Changing to 67.5 brake switch is a lot of work and not worth it.
66 stroker, almost done.

If I jump the wires at the switch and the lights come on it has to be the switch right?Curtis wrote: Sun Jun 12, 2022 3:52 pm That's a good price. They rarely go bad. Changing to 67.5 brake switch is a lot of work and not worth it.

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
If you have the new switch ready to put on the moment you remove the old you might get away with not having bleed it until later. If you have to do the houses it really doesn't matter.

Maybe the switch. Do you have good brake pressure? No pressure, no work.

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
Yes I have brake pressure. The brakes work great. I'll try doing a quick swap lol. I haven't gotten into the brakes yet but the front drivers side brake is sticking. I'm guessing it's the brake lines.

Yes a really good price. That listing certainly wasn't there back when I paid $55+ for mine. But the seller is all liquored up on the second picture as to where it mounts.Curtis wrote: Sun Jun 12, 2022 3:52 pm That's a good price. They rarely go bad. EDIT: Looks like I was liquored up as well as it was the spare oil pressure switch I paid $55 for. $21 for this brake switch. Speaking of which that PS-202 Standard products oil pressure switch looks like NLA. Maybe the PS-238 with a thread adapter will?

I have one of these and it does not look the same as OEM. Okay if you have to have one.DAC21 wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 6:14 am Yuck, I hate paying more than need be

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
I ordered that brake switch. In this picture this is the oil pressure sending unit correct? I’m not sure if I need a new one. I put a test light on it with the key on and it’s getting pulsing power. The gauge on the dash goes to max with the key on

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
It should not register anything until the car is running. I had four new senders and only one of them was good when I tried to change it out recently. In addition the gauges are not very accurate, 4 gauges, 4 different readings.
I am now using a VDO electric gauge until I get some gauges restored and calibrated. You should check the gauge connections and maybe try to clean up the sender. Be careful with screw connection, It can break and spin around if it is too tight. I put a pigtail on mine with a bullet connector so I don't have to mess with the screw.

Meaning it should be yellow chromate finish?Curtis wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:52 amI have one of these and it does not look the same as OEM. Okay if you have to have one.DAC21 wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 6:14 am Yuck, I hate paying more than need be

Re: No Electrical at all. Engine starts and runs
I used this one. Looks exactly like my original and the same as what is shown on vendor sites. Threads were correct as well. Works like a champ.
