Hi everyone,
My name is Blaise Pierson. I live in Bradenton, FL. I am a retired Air Traffic Controlller.
I am the proud owner of a 1967.5 1600. This was a one owner car from Airzona. It is TOTALLY rust free. I am new to the group, but have been working on the car for a couple of years between health issues. I am . doing a frame-off. The body just went to the body shop last week where I understand it will stay for about six months. The frame in going to the sandblaster/powder coater next monday. The body has been media blasted and primed. The color will be changed from red to silver. (Paint code 666) The engine is being built by H3 performance, and will be bored to .30 over, and made a stroker. Weber carbs and new cam. 5 speed tranny. Most of the interior has been completed and waiting for the pint. I have a lot of extra parts I will be getting rid of. I already gave a member of this board the port hole hard top. I also have a three main engine that runs well that I bought for parts, (obviously before I knew it was the wrong engine.) I built an airplane 20 years ago, and this is a lot harder. I have no idea how to post pictures but my wife does. I am looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.
Blaise

Welcome Blaise. I'm in Tampa with the same car, just a little behind you on the progress since I just picked up the car a month ago. I will be interested in seeing your pictures and following the build. Jeff

Re: My 67.5
Welcome! I'm a big fan of Webers on an R16, I think they look great. From what I've heard, the aftermarket manifolds can be a little wonky, so I suggest you have your shop look it over carefully for flat mounting surfaces, and make sure your header matches up well too. If you're not familiar with jetting, I can tell you a wideband fuel ratio meter is very helpful unless your shop is setting it up for you. Have fun!

Re: My 67.5
Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I just cor the frame back from the powder coater's and it is fantastic. I now get to learn what it is like to put a car back together. Thanks for the weber comments. I hope I remember them when I am threre. I also have a running three main engine if someone wants it cheap.

Re: My 67.5
I am not sure how to do this. I have been gently chastised for not putting a price on the engine and transmissions. Running complete engine except for valve cover $2000. add a crappy transmission for $100.00 Add a great transmission, $250.00. Buy the engine and great transmission, get the crappy one free. The engine is complete. exhaust manifold. intake with carbs, starter and alternator. I am not willing to part put.
