I got the intake crossover mod from some bmw 2002 site. One of the carbs broke a mounting ear and it was repaired hence the imbalance. And I tried smaller venturies which gave me a better low and mid range but the top end suffered. I reinstalled the large ones and give a little more gas from the light. They produce good power to 8k rpm where I shift!
The 50's should have OB's but I do not know how to tell the difference.

The OAs say OA, and the OB say OB on the tops. The OAs are designed for compitition (so I'm told) and the #8s for the 40s or for the street. I'm still running the 8s, they seem to work ok, but I'd like to try a set of the OAs when I'm racing as it might solve my right turn stumble.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Pulled out "gasp" a book. It stated OA's are for 44's and OB's are for 50's racing applications where bleed pipes which are benificial for part throttle are not beneficial. I suppose that the 8's are for that purpose. I checked mine with a lupe (blind) and they are B's.
