sounds like you aren't breaking the ground circuit, If you were lacking + power, it shouldn't get hot. `Is it a 12 volt coil, or one designed to have a ballast?

If you just hotwire it, 12 volt direct it should work, right?

I got mine hooked up the other weekend and it seems to run ok. Coil does get hot though, but it always got pretty warm to begin with. When/If the rain stops tomorrow I'll take a few pics and PM them to you. Maybe that will help?

Thanks again for the advice on the solex's. Parts are due in the beginning of next week :twisted:

I'm running a MSD Blaster2 coil, and its nice and cool without the MSD, with it it gets too hot to touch very quickly. I havent had time to mess with it lately, too much driving, 3000 miles in a month.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
