Need help on a couple random vacuum lines.

Post by srfjay »

Hey guys. Quick question. Picked up a 1970 that has been sitting since the 90s. And trying to figure out a couple of vacuum lines.
This one pictured . It is a little 3 way port. One to the oil dipstick one going to a hardline. (I assume to the gas tank) and a long hose going no where. I think this should be going to the stock carbs correct? And I am guessing this is smog related? Thanks

Check out the parts diagrams, they show that plumbing. One to fuel tank, one to crankcase & one to air filter.

It is part of the evaporative emissions system that was on some of the 1970 cars. Very few still have it all intact. Most have been desmogged
