Seeking windshield glass (high windshield)

Hey guys,

Currently seeking a vendor or source for new windshield glass for the restoration of my ‘69 (SPL311-24633).

Years ago I had ordered a piece from Datsun Parts (probably nearly a decade back), and after a long hiatus where the resto sat, finally went about fitting it.

One of the reasons the restoration was put on hold was that we believed the windshield frame to be bent. To put it briefly, the car was wrecked somewhat (if you, by small chance, recognize the VIN, you might know), so the original windshield had shattered.

However, upon finally getting the car rigged up to straighten the frame with help from a professional, we realized that it was actually fine. What we then discovered was that the glass had a fairly wide flat spot on its surface, most likely from when it was pulled from the mounding, so it did not fit well into place unless under tension.

So long story short, I’m on the hunt to see if there are any options or reputable vendors supplying replacement glass? To clarify, I have no animosity to Datsun Parts. They have been helpful to me so many times, so I just chalk it up to bad luck. Was considering writing in to see if they could assist me.

But if anyone can take the time to read and assist me with any thoughts, leads, or information, I’d be most appreciative!
