There are no cut threads in the arms as they come from the factory. They are smooth inside and (maybe?) get 'deformed' on install of the bushing onto the spindle through the arm.
Maybe they are worn out?

A couple of my A arms were boogered a bit and the flapper wheel fixed that.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.

Well you guys were right. I decided to bite the bullet and just send it. Hit them with the impact, and they spun all the way down. Didn't expect it, considering they were so far out before binding. Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted out. I understand your caution, but sometimes a "big hammer" IS the right TOOL! Onward!
