Luggage Strap Mounting

Post by Linusrp »

I am finally getting around to mounting some luggage straps I have dyed for the rear parcel deck. Does anyone have a good example of where these actually mount. I put down the rear deck vinyl trim two years ago and don't recall where the holes might have been for the straps. My roadster didn't come with luggage straps so when I replaced the interior I didn't pay much attention to 'extra' holes. Pictures would be great, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pop the trunk on the car, and you will see the nuts that are welded on the ice wall to mount the straps. The front mounts are directly in front of those on the front face of the rear shelf...

I checked the trunk but couldn't see any nuts. I'll check again in the morning. When you say 'front face of the shelf' are you refering to the padded lip? Are the holes forward of that lip or towards the rear end of the front lip? Do they mount to the floor of the shelf or the vertical surface. Sorry for all the questions.

Look inside the trunk on your parts cars. I am not sure that they are on the pre 67.5 cars...
