I took the car racing this weekend, with postive results. It was my first time racing outside of the Mt Shasta weekend. On saturday I was fighting a nonadvancing dizzy and managed to find my way to 4th place in class (Vintage street prep). I was the only one on street tires in class. Sunday I managed to do a little better and was 3rd, again the only car in class on street tires. The car is much faster than the times reflect, I seriously need new tires to be running with the top times. I think the car is there, it just lacks the grip the others have. It drifts very well; turn wheel, add power, and around I went. Instant 2nd gear powerslides. Before next month, new tires.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

If anyone is interested, NorCalUFO will be hosting an autoX drivers school on Sept 30 and another autoX on Oct 1st. The school is $50 per person, it includes lunch, full instruction (if wanted) and lots of runs. I'll be attending both.
