Back to Linda

Post by todd lorber »

Hey Linda,
Good to hear from you. Sorry I couldn't get on this site over the weekend-before apparently everything blew up. But glad you are still around and interested in roadsters.

It looks like Supercar Sunday has no immediate provisions to open so we roadster people should get together. Some of us have those roadster masks from Solvang that Karen made, so we're to code.

By the way, during your absence, I believe the term "slave" cylinder has been removed from the lexicon. I think its now "cylinder reluctantly actuated by the other, more dominant one" or something like that.

I needed that laugh, Todd😂
Always interested in Roadsters, I’m not one dimensional😎
The hassle with the clutch s***e cylinder reminded me of the movie 12 Years a Slave because that is what it felt like getting it bled properly and working.
Not sure on meet up sites since SCS is gone, for now. Maybe Cars and Coffee , LA at Griffith Park or Malibu.
I do miss seeing everyone, and the 510ers too.
JCCS coming up….

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

I envy the car culture in California. We love our cars up here, and there’s tons of awesome cars as shown at recent Rock n August here in lil old St.Albert Alberta, yes there are a few roadsters in my neck of the woods but I can count them on one hand, with two digits cut off. This country is so vast that there are many roadsters but thousands of kilometres and or miles between us. I know of four for sure in my area of 1 million people, and at least a dozen or more 350 km south of here. Car meet ups here consist of American muscle with the odd british car showing up...there would be more but they all caught fire on the way to the meet. Or the meets can Be late and none had working headlights. I do love American muscle cars, rat rods , hot rods and the like but I say mikuni and they have this blank vacant look. I say winding road, they say uhh “ why”..? Take care , be safe and have fun . I can’t remember the last time I saw a 510 around here.
I just appreciate a nice car that someone else has appreciated and takes car of...
