Looking for 70 steering column information

Post by Habitat.pat »

I installed a RB steering box & steering column in my 67.5. Everything went well until I tried to hang the brake pedal. The pedal hits the column. Looking at the parts manual does not show that there is a different pedal for the 70, so I am wondering if the mount for the pedal might be in a different location. Other folks who installed the RB box didn't indicate there was any interference.

I can probably bend the pedal so that it clears the column, or modify the column ever so slightly to clear the pedal.

Can anyone please give me dimensions from the brake pedal to the left side of the pedal box please?

Other than that, my interior is almost complete!

Attached is a photo of my under dash area.

Thanks for your help.

Peace,
Pat

Kindly disregard this thread, I was experiencing a brain fart last night. When you are 6’ tall & crammed in under the dash, you can’t see the whole situation. Getting a bigger picture showed me what I was doing wrong.

Peace,
Pat
