I know nothing about LSD's etc, so I need some input. I was under the car, checking u joints etc (they seem good despite never having been changed that I know of in 35 years... thoughts?) and noted a fair amount of what I would term as "slop" in the drive shaft as it engages the diff, and then in the axles to the wheels (2 sources of slop). I measured it out at the wheel after carefully feeling for each contributor separately, and found the axel had .27" of "slop", and the drive shaft contributed another .31", for a total of .58" of movement in the drivetrain before the rear wheel turns. Is that normal? Acceptable? I don't abuse this diff ever, but drive spirited at times. I haven't done anything to it since it was built several years ago by a member (former?) on this site but I don't remember who... nice guy out of Oregon. I have not noted any new vibration the last time I drove it, but a Roadster is not exactly a smooth, vibration free ride typically, so maybe I'm numb...
Thanks as always for the vast knowledge of this group!
