location of postie on door

Post by onsight512 »

Could anyone help me figure out exactly where the posite on the door(s) go? Mine are missing and I'd like to put them in the right place. And then install the side mirror, which I have a template for (Thanks Ross!). The mirror template uses the postie location to locate the two holes for the driver's side mirror.

About 150mm from the front edge of the vertical lip of the door. It is slightly higher than the middle of the lip by 2 or 3 mm. Couldn’t get a good camera shot of it, but I measured from 2 or 3 mm above the center of the front to the center of the postie. The front edge is on an angle, so if you don’t measure from the proper height you will be slightly off. The picture makes it look like it’s measured from the bottom of the angle, but it’s actually just higher than center. Hope this helps.
