battery charged, fuses good, no voltage to lights or ignition 68 1600

Good morning. Went for a short drive yesterday, forgot my sunglasses, so returned to get them. Came back out and I've got no electricity to ignition or lights. Battery is 13.1v, checked fuses in glovebox all good, test light shows 13v on top fuse in glovebox, checked ground, also good.
any help or suggestions?

Check the wires to your ammeter, make sure they are in place. If so, see if someone has added a fuse, and check that.

Check the pos wire to the Iggy swt.
And the grounds ....time to play with a multimeter
One with a contenuity beep is faster ...no wire power tester too

On one occasion, circa 1985 (which I later saw reported and theorized by others) at what I would guess was a resonant frequency around 6000 RPM, the (alternator) regulator points would apparently bounce, and the car instantly lost lighting (occurred at night) and ignition power. In my case, after fumbling around in the fuse panel, but replacing nothing, the car did start a few minutes afterwards, but I parked it and took the backup.

Check the crimp on the battery + lead to the starter solenoid. It can get wet and corroded inside with no apparent damage outside. Ask me how I know...

Check the "fusible Link" down by the starter. There is a small section of wire off the starter that connects to the white wire that powers everything.

Easy way to check if your ammeter has maybe gone south and killed you power. First take a voltmeter and check the terminal with the white with red stripe wire on it. 12 volts, ammeter okay. Next unplug the starter harness and check for 12 volts on the large black wire. It changes to a white wire in the dash harness. The large white wire goes directly to the ammeter. The white/red wire is the other terminal on the ammeter.

My '67 had one, but I never assumed that it was original. I assume that it was added as part of the work around after the ammeter burned out. I see it though appropriate to check for one.

I should have added here that if there is power at the fuse box don't bother with the starter harness.

Follow he wiring diagram and check for power at each connection.
After a quick look at the wiring diagram, the battery is connected to the starter, check that you have power to the starter. From the starter there are 2 wires; 1 to the top fuse in the fuse box(GW), 1 to the Amp meter(W). Since you have power to the top fuse, follow the W wire to the Amp meter and connections down stream of the Amp meter. From the Amp meter there is a (RW) wire to the 3rd fuse and the ignition.
I found the wire to the amp meter was not securely fastened and all was good after I tightened it.
The general idea is to verify power from the source, battery, outward to find the point of disconnection.

Thank you for the input on where to start! I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on this car. So far I found the ground is good everywhere on chassis, horn works, and all fuses have 13.1v.
I will be checking the ammeter shortly which I'm finding is in a tight area. Starter almost right above exhaust manifold, I really need a lift for this vehicle. Ha
