Shipping over size parts

Post by Guy »

I just used a site called UShip
https://www.uship.com

This work out great, no hassle received multiple shipping quotes, getting a roof rack for my 411 from the LA area to Modesto CA cheaper than gas to drive and get it.
It's an awkward size and shape. Will be a good resource for moving big parts. Just an FYI

I thought as much, wondering about hitting delivery promised date, and arriving in good condition. I'm guessing the Seller is responsible for prepping / packaging?

Most shipping companies who handle large items will only give you a few cents per pound if your part is lost or damaged, and it’s very little. Some will allow you to quote a stated value, but the shipping costs will go up exponentially. If you are shipping something valuable be sure to find out beforehand what you are covered for. If you are dealing with a broker (which Uship.com may be, GET IT IN WRITING.
