Convertible top to windshield seal
I'm getting ready to install a new seal on the header of my top mechanism and would like to know how to trim it and how far to carry it, since the seal is actually longer than necessary. The pictures below would seem to indicate two choices, cutting the seal flush with the short flange that goes inside the slit in the seal, or carry it further to the point where the flat surface bend is. If I carry the seal to the point where the flat surface bend is, I could cut the seal at an angle rather than 90 degrees. What's the proper way to install it? Can someone post pictures of their install. Thanks.

I installed mine using 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Centered it on the frame, leaving it long on both ends. Then cut to fit with top installed and windows rolled up. FWIW Pat
