Period correct Hose Clamps for a 1967
Under the hood I have a hodgepodge of "British" style dual wire Clamps and the more current fugly worm drive band style. I know the dual wire is correct, but Is that true throughout the car including the Fuel Filler Hose Clamps in the trunk? (haven't opened the trunk in literally 40 years)
TIA

Actually I already bought some from Moss Motors and Amazon, but I'm just not sure if the dual wire type clamps were used for all locations on the car from the Factory.Solex68 wrote: Sat May 22, 2021 5:40 pm See JT68 he carries the whole set !

If you want to be as correct as possible, get the Brooklyn's Datsun roadsters portfolio book and study the pictures. They are road test photographs from when the cars were new.

Thanks for the info, is this one and the same book? I'm not finding any reference to Brooklyn.spl310 wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 5:18 am If you want to be as correct as possible, get the Brooklyn's Datsun roadsters portfolio book and study the pictures. Yes, that is it. I am using talk to text as I'm a little busy at the Amelia Island Concours.

I could be wrong (and I often am) but I don't believe the British use the same style hose clamp. if you're looking to be correct.
Nissan clamps push the plate away from the Screw head.
British clamps pulls the plate closer to the screw head.
. .
Again I could be wrong but they don't look or work the same.

Re: Period correct Hose Clamps for a 1967
Thanks Greg, looks like I have the correct style for 1 1/4 inch OD and smaller hoses (although these Clamps are yellow zinc finish, I can live with it) The ones I got from Moss are the four larger Clamps for the Radiator hoses. That is only $15 so I can probably drop those on eBay. Any idea where to get the correct Nissan type for larger Radiator hoses?Solex68 wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 11:09 am I could be wrong (and I often am) but I don't believe the British use the same style hose clamp. if you're looking to be correct.

I did the same thing you did, I bought all the British ones. Having a Spitfire back in the day and a roadster, I didn't notice at first but then it started bugging me when I did notice and I then I bought some from JT. He was helpful. He had full car sets and I think he sold me some one offs that I needed too. Other vendors may have them as well, just my experience in clamps was with JT.
