Hi,
Just replacing seat belts and noticed my seats weren’t moving back and forward as they should and noticed the lever at the back on both was on the inside (see pic below). I have seen other pics and diagrams where the seat lever are both on the outside near the door rather than the centre console. Can anyone tell me which way is the correct way for them to sit? Thanks
Seat location??

Re: Seat location??
On the ‘67.5-70, the seat back locks are located on outboard back sides of the seats. Not sure on a ‘66.
In any event, on all years, the seat rail locks (fore-aft adjustment) are unrelated and located under the front of the seats. The seat rail travel/adjustment is known to bind with 50-60 years of corrosion.

Re: Seat location??
The seats in the picture appear to be 67.5 seats, and are swapped left to right.

Re: Seat location??
I've never been certain, so can I ask which side the bottom seat rail, fore and aft slide levers are located, near the doors, or near the trans tunnel ?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Seat location??
Thank you, Greg ! I've wondered about that for years, and have looked at a lot of pictures showing both arrangements. Now I know !

Re: Seat location??
Yep, seat back release levers should be to the outside near the door. I guess there could have been some Makes and Models that may have been different, begging the question why?
