Nice one mate. I feel the love, keep it up. Make sure you make a very detailed scrapbook of your resto of the 2 x 68 2000 like a diary with pictures so that you and your son have that something special.

It is amazing how Datsun enthusiasts stick together. I wrote off my mates Datsun 180b in high school. I was on my learner plates. The engine was smashed up against the firewall when a cliff wall jumped out in front of us and we ended up with bad whiplash. Argh the Datsun family. For our ten-year anniversary, last year, we rolled of the side of a cliff, smashed up the car and started a grass fire in the same forest we were in ten years earlier (only this time he was driving).
If a story involves a Datsun it is going to be strange, to be sure.

In ten years of driving I have owned at least 15 Datsuns.
Currently 2 x 180bsss, 2 x 1600 (4 door 510, I think they are uncommon in the US, where as we have no 2 doors) and a 64 Fairlady.

I love your Roadsters especially the black one.

Does the Zetec engine give good fuel economy? I would ultimately like to do an engine swap which would give me fairly good performance but with excellent fuel economy.

Please can we have some engine shots!
