Looking for wire holders
Does anyone know where I might find new bendy wire holders. Or what metal would be good to use to make new ones?

Re: Looking for wire holders
Just a thin sheet metal cut in strips and dipped in Flex Seal Liquid would work. You could then weld, rivet or screw them back on... the attachment would be hidden under the wire bundle. Screwed or riveted would make them easier to remove for the purpose of car restoration at some point. Just a thought.

Re: Looking for wire holders
I used p clips of various sizes for wiring, brake lines and fuel lines. Definitely not original.

Re: Looking for wire holders
I was skeptical on how long those would hold up on my build, so I simply drilled holes every 12" or so along the frame and installed rivet nuts. Then I can just use whatever size cable clamp that I need and screw it into the rivet nut.

Re: Looking for wire holders
I plan on welding sheet metal on, either dipped in plastic (as mentioned above) or coated with heat shrink tubing.
As long as they are not bent back and forth too many times, they will not fatigue and break.

Wow peeps be really proud of these clips....$2.50 per is just too much for my blood, and Summit is not much less. So I will make my own as Mike suggested. As for rivet nuts, which I like, I can just use a bolt and a small impact driver to install them, right?

Re: Looking for wire holders
the problem with heat shrink is the ends - at least I could never make them look neat!

No, just use a drill of the right size (depends on what size rivet nut) and this kit:

Re: Looking for wire holders
If he choked on $2.50 for a clip, I would think that the hand rivet nut setter at $63 would be a non-starter too.

Re: Looking for wire holders
Thanks Ive been wanting one for a while and thats a decent price so I got one, and some extra rivets, I can use it for so many other things that the value is there. As for the bendy tabs... I can make a quantity for almost nothing out of scrap and Liquid Etape in no time, plus I can weld them to the car and paint then dip them so no metal is exposed and go for a more stock look where I want.GoldHawg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 3:38 pmNo, just use a drill of the right size (depends on what size rivet nut) and this kit:
