Help with Cork Gasket for Glass/Metal Fuel Filter Bowl

Post by DAC21 »

I don't have an old Gasket to size up for replacement. I was told there are aftermarket Gaskets for Farm Tractors that work just fine. I'm pretty sure based on a rubber gasket recommendations that I have measured that the OD width is 2" and ID width is 1 5/8". I'm not finding that in a Cork Gasket but I have found 2" x 1.5 by 1/16 thickness cork Gasket which fits Ford Tractors No. 2N 8N 9N NAA.

Anyone know specifically what they might have used as an aftermarket part?

Thanks in advance

The one that you found should work fine based on what I have seen. I have not used it personally.

My old Fords up through 960 and 961 use the same one. They run the same up through 1964.

Yes that is the gasket I measured it is 2" OD x 1 5/8 ID x 1/8 thickness. I'm trying to track down the cork equivalent. But 2" OD x 1.5" ID x 1/16 thickness is as close as I find which is the Ford Tractor spec. I believe it would do the trick.

I sell a rubber gasket for the glass bowl if you need one.

I believe the OEM Part No. for the gasket for your 961 Puller is 311275, Possible the eBay listing I saw for that part is wrong but it indicates it is 1.525 OD. The Roadster is more like 2" OD.
