Thanks love your color diagrams. If you look at my original pic, you can see the early 66 doesn't match the later wiring style in the diagrams.

I'd say someone put a 64 engine harness in your car. You should check the plugs under the dash at the firewall, they probably don't match the correct color at the plugs. Here is an original OEM 66-67 engine harness complete with the usual unraveling tape.

What year car(s) are talking about? Off to work on my car now.

It's an early 66. It's interesting because it doesn't have the r/w wire from the 1500 harness.

I know from reading and parts sites they run a different regulator from later 66-67s, but not sure if that extends to the different harness too. Hoping someone has a picture.

What is your console like? Could be you have a 65 titled as a 66. Serial number?

Does your side trim if you have it go clear out to the headlight?

it's 311 02085

side trim is only to wheel well.

I just suspect an incorrect harness. Mine is 02914
