Seat Mounting Holes

Post by Steve_69 »

When I got my car, the seats were not properly bolted to the floor boards. When I removed them, I noticed that there were two sets of holes and assumed maybe a tall or short person drilled extra holes. I just noticed on the photos of Mr. Green that his has two sets of holes as well. I presume this is to create greater variability in seat adjustment. Is this the case or is there another purpose for those holes? If they are extras seat hoses, what are the unused holes typically plugged with? Just regular body plugs? Thanks ahead of time.

When I removed the seats before cleanup I saw that the front hole sets were duct taped from the factory

I simply assumed that 2 sets were done to mount depending on market
Same thing for the seat belts holes there were 2 sets but 1 duct taped

The sound proofing material covered and plugged all the holes

Seat belt holes?? I don't recall duplicates of those - I am aware of the seat mounting holes.

Yup I’ll post pictures later but if you look underneath the car there’s two captive nuts

Tough to tell, but could that be the roll bar mounting points?
