Relay Can mounting
Hello,
Can someone show me a photo of how the two relay cans on the 69 2000 are mounted under the dash?
Thanks,
Joseph

Re: Relay Can mounting
They are mounted high, towards the front, on the left sidewall of the driver’s footwell.

Re: Relay Can mounting
Is there a bracket that holds them? Mine are just hanging from the wires now.

If memory serves, the metal part of the cans snap into a bracket fixed to the sidewall with what look like protruding metal fingers.

Re: Relay Can mounting
As I recall, the screw is the ground and needs to be clean and tight to bare metal for best performance. It can get rusty up there.

Re: Relay Can mounting
So I determined my relay cans don't have the little mounting stud attached to them. Is there a source for relays cans that have the mounting stud?
Thanks,
Joseph

Thanks, bit spendy for a flasher can, but at least they're available.

Re: Relay Can mounting
Not if you buy two or more and you get the original type can for the car. Only difference is the hazard can was gold colored. I bought some from Thailand along with a couple other parts. They were exactly what I wanted.
