Well, she's no looker, but...

Post by todd lorber »

After being off the road for the past 6 1/2 years, I finally got this car drivable. I've owned this for just under 30 years, and I used to drive it a lot, but it got displaced by some other projects. About a year ago I decided to start knocking off the Bondo (1/2" thick in some places) and that led to a bunch of rust repair. I still have some straightening to do on the panels, and some recontouring of the fenders, but it was nice to get it on the street.

I'd forgotten how high up the band these cars get their power.

That drive should provide some inspiration to carry on.

I don't have anything in the rear yet. I'll probably just use stock bumpers without bumperettes in both the front and rear.
Those bars on the front were just a project I wanted to try on a mini lathe I bought a few months back.

I will definitely be doing more driving though. We just got snow in the local mountains in LA yesterday, so I hope to get out today or tomorrow for the panoramic views.
