Flat Dash in 68

Post by SRL311U »

Great to meet everyone. I just joined. We did a flat dash in a 68. Still working to get the correct lever switches and you’ll note 5 toggles—accusump and fuel pump.

Welcome. I always love these introductions, “Hi, I am a newbie. I have a Roadster. It’s all finished” LOL.
Nothing left to do but plan a fun run or a post Covid meet!

No, still have a bog down on acceleration. Got to adjust accelerator pumps! Then looking for shops to work through interior trim. No worries, many projects still! Unfortunately I’m far away from the cluster of roadster-specific shops in California.

Sharp looking car, really like the flat dash. If I wasn’t trying to keep mine mostly original I’d do the swap too.

Call Dave Premo at the link below. I had a horrendous bog on my Solex’s with the stock jets and he sold me the proper parts and gave me advice on setting them up, and now they are spot on.

Looks great. I have a 68 2000 I plan to restore and I like the look of the flat dash more than the molded dash. Was the conversion difficult? Were you able to use the original gauges? Where did you source the dash for the conversion? How much did all it cost? Thanks

Brad,
Do not adjust your accelerator pumps, it’s a jetting issue. Be happy to set you up with what you need.

Interesting to see a single reservoir master brake cylinder on a 68. Is that something you did?
