New heater core that will fit 1966 roadster?

Post by TurboRagtop »

Has anyone found a new (currently available) heater core from another vehicle that will fit the early roadsters?
Mine got lost in a pile of boxes that got relocated twice...

Thanks!

Dude! It got down to 34 degrees F the other night!
But your point is noted... normally just go out with a hoodie in the winter

turboragtop,

do you have a build thread somewhere on the swap of that ford t-bird 2.3 turbo into your 66? Sure would be cool to hear about it along with pics, impressions, etc.

I don't have a full build thread unfortunately. I have had the car for 40 years and basically spread the mods across all those years and never kept a centralized cache of pics.
I do have a couple of pics of the engine going into the car. Mind blowing to see how big it looks, like it will NEVER go in.
I'll post them up if folks are interested.

Someone must have a spare laying around. I had to buy a spare since one of my inlet/outlet tubes was cracked. If it was good enough I'd give it to you. I had both mine recored for $245 each with a nice heavy modern core. If you find something and you can't find someone reasonable to do it send it to me and I'll get it done for you. They have to order the cores out of Canada.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.
